Hybrid Lime Pencil Dress | Fashion

Wednesday, 25 March 2015

Hybrid Fashion* so kindly sent me this amazing lime pencil dress*, which I refuse to ever take off. Hybrid fashion is a brand that offers timeless and incredibly sophisticated designs, which yes are a high price but you are paying for such good quality. The dress feels very professional and would be perfect for the races or work if you are in the business scene.

I honestly feel like I've been taken back to the 50's wearing this tailored dress, the lime colour fitting in so well with my pink pin curls. My favourite feature is the plunge neckline which makes me feel like such a women! I have paired it with black accessories to bring in an element of my Goth love & I thought it would be fitting with the pastel palette going on.

Spooky Eyes Contact Lenses Review | Dream Eyes

Friday, 20 March 2015

I am an absolute newbie when it comes to putting contacts in and I did squirm like mad when my finger went anywhere near my eye. BUT alas I managed to get them into my eye! Spookyeyes.com* so kindly sent me a pair of amazing contacts to try out and review, which is a completely different haul to what you usually see me post! Welcome to my interest in costume makeup, clothing, jewellery and all that jazz! Spooky eyes* has such a large range of contact lenses that I was stumped picking a set to try! I've been browsing their website* and straight away I am attracted to the halloween lenses. HOWEVER, they also have lenses themed for christmas and more natural colours.
So you can see the contact lenses colour once applied to my eye, I have taken photographs where I am wearing just the one so you can properly see how the lens affects the green tone of my eye.

The contacts I am wearing are the funky violet* because I thought if I'm going for colour, I want them to stand out! They have such a large range of each colour which I found was awesome, meaning you can get every shade and tone of violet (link here to the violet sectionConsidering this was the first time I have ever worn contacts, I don't think there was any simple way for me to get them into my eyes. I had to force my eyes open and after alot of fumbling managed to get them on, but this was down to myself and my eyes rather than anything to do with the contact lenses. They pained me for a second whilst they were in, but after perhaps 5 minutes they became comfortable. They easily moved on my eye to sit upon my iris and I found the colour was incredibly solid so you couldn't see my original colour underneath.

I didn't like to wear them for too long purely because I was new to the whole experience, but it had nothing to do with the lenses because they were still comfortable a few hours after I had put them in.

One aspect I didn't like is the location of the instructions, which are on the inside of the box and are so hard to read without ripping it all completely open. This could be easier to read if it is printed on paper and put inside the box with the contact packets!

Another section I loved was the amount of witchy* contacts which I will definitely be trying out this Halloween!

Thankyou for reading & I hope you enjoyed this different type of post!

Fashion Review: Body Jewellery Shop!

Friday, 13 March 2015

When it comes to piercings, I tend to be that person who says "Oh wow! That looks so cool" yet I do mean on somebody else and I personally don't have (excuse my french) the balls to get it done! Considering I have a full shin tattoo piece, the logic isn't there! It is a generic fact that everyone connects tattoo's to piercings, but the whole idea of getting my nosed pierced, despite how much I want it done, makes me squirm!
The only piercings I do have are both my ears, which I got done at a very early age and thankfully to my body they haven't healed up! I have been through the process of stretching my ears at one point in my life, but after getting them to perhaps an 8, I quit. I go through phases of wearing earrings and not, but I am always on the look out for a pair.

Taking this all into account, I was over the moon when Body Jewellery Shop sent me a couple to review! They are an online store which sells everything you want, from Ear Piercing's to Belly Bars.

These clear, square jewelled earrings* are incredibly simple and an accessory everyone should have! They are a delicate statement piece that adds a little bling to an outfit, especially considering that warmer weather is right around the corner and adding a little sparkle to an outfit can't hurt anyone! This ear piercing is sterling silver and incredibly traditional, also fitting my lobe just right (no one wants a huge stone hanging from the side of their head).

The Pentagram ear piercings* in white, with butterfly clip are my favourite pair sent by Body Jewellery Shop, simply because they are right up my street! I love the pentagram feature which really defines the earrings, the white line being bold on the black to become a statement piece upon your ear, despite the size of the ear piercing. I was incredibly surprised at how small the earring is, but pleasantly as again they fit perfectly on my lobe. Sterling silver again so you are getting such good quality for an amazing price.

On further inspect of the website I found so many more products (especially earrings) that I would love to have! I did browse all sections of other piercings in envy, but realistically I probably will only have my ears pierced for the rest of my life. Here are a couple of ear piercings I thought were quirky and different than your traditional pairs:

I hope you enjoyed reading this review, sadly I will not be filming any videos for my youtube channel as I have broken my camera! SO expect alot of my reviews to be written :)

Whats in my bag! | lifestyle & Products

Wednesday, 4 March 2015

The what's in my  bag post is perhaps one of the biggest trends of the blogging world, but I have been meaning to do this for a while! Considering I'm an art student, I rarely have any of my art supplies with me in this day to day handbag. If anyone would like to see what I keep in my university/art bag please leave a comment! I purchased this handbag from next before Christmas, it also has a strap to make it a satchel type thang.
