Outfit of the day: Sammy Dress

10 Jul 2016

Back again with another outfit of the day, but this time it’s a little different as I have a couple of pieces to show you! Almost like a little haul woo. The lovely team over at Sammydress got in touch asking if I would like to style some of their pieces to share with you lovely lot, and I just couldn’t say no! Sammydress are a brand which offer on trend fashion and currently perfect summer style items globally, whilst not only being affordable but cater to all ages with their pieces!
I'll be quite honest, when this brand got in touch with me I was scared it would be another cheap made in China brand in which shipping takes years, quality is poor and normally the clothing is over sized and terrible. Thank GOD this isn't that kind of post. I was reassured straight off the bat from looking on the Sammydress website that this wasn't the case, the brand appeared professional, their website easy to function and I haven't seen any of their pieces featured on facebook ads or ebay (thats always the biggest giveaway). I don't usually work with brands I haven't heard of since this is me officially putting my name with someones products, so I always want to be 100% about opportunities I take and share with you guys. My package came within days of ordering and curiously I tried on the pieces and instantly fell in love.

The off the shoulder fringe, striped dress - I feel so fancy sporting this number and it's the first time I've worn an off the shoulder piece since I was a little girl! Of course back then I wore what my Mother put me in, so it's awesome to return to a style of clothing which is trending so hard at the moment! I didn't know if off the shoulders would suit me, but with how fitted this dress is I've fallen in love with how it falls on me! It screams a Spanish style which I think is so different on today's market, the top half being full of detail with the pompom fringe and the bottom half balancing with an A-line fitting falling to mid thigh. I did order in a SMALL and it fits perfectly, I am smaller on top than my bottom but the dress is so comfortable. Secret revealed, there are two arm holes underneath the front layer so that your arms aren't just stuck to your side with material band running around your shoulders.

The embroidered floral dress - Ok so this dress has become my comfy afternoon, lounge outfit! Not only is the material so soft but it just so easy to throw on, cute but casual. It has small open back with a tie at the neck and another tie at the waist to create a curve for your hippies. Not only is the shape perfect for my body type but I also love the floral stitch detail running around the trims, it almost fading into the center of the dress. With how comfortable to wear this dress is, it's perfect for the summer days where it's too warm to be wearing layers.

The black ruffled blouse - Off the bat I will say for a size small this top is huge, there is so much material but it's fitted in all the right places! With being off the shoulder I was scared with all the material that it would just fall off me, but the elastic saves the day! Despite it being a baggy piece it still looks good tucked into a skirt or trousers.

The off the shoulder laced playsuit - Can you tell I really wanted to experiment with off the shoulder items? With it being summer I really wanted to get some staple pieces and I think this playsuit would be perfect for a little holiday away, you could wear it on the beach and not be phased by the head! It is quite a small fit but that allows the lace over layer to stand out. Again this has the two arm holes so that your arms aren't plastered to your sides!

Off the shoulder pieces = Jess approved! With pieces like this being on trend this summer I thought I would show you guys how I style them up! Thankyou Sammydress & I hope you liked another outfit of the day post! I will be showing these outfits in more depth in later outfit posts, so keep your peepers out!

Thankyou guys! Until next time,

*Disclaimer: Sammydress sent me these items for free for me to create a blog post showing how I would style them for summer.
