I’m super excited to share my outfit of the day with you
today as it features one of my current favourite fashion brands Dahlia! I first
came across their clothing in Topshop years ago, so when I saw on twitter that they
were looking for blogger to work with, a lightbulb went off as I remembered
their clothing to be super cute, modern with a British styling. My favourite
things! Not only does their clothing feature in Topshop, Dahlia also have a
boutique in London which I can only imagine is incredibly fabulous! I was more
than eager to get in touch, the lovely ladies sending me this lacy number sent
from heaven to share with you guys!
The off the shoulder trend is big on the market right now
and I think every fashion brand is jumping on it, so it was refreshing to see
Dahlia doing the same but of course taking the trend into their own hands! I love how
the modern style of their clothing is very British fashion inspired, pushing aside
the American influence fashion is taking at the moment (no thanks to the likes of
the Kardashians/Jenners). In my mind London and Paris will forever be the soul
of fashion, so I am a huge fan of the slightly vintage styling to the pieces
Dahlia have to offer! My second favourite feature of this piece* definitely has to be the
lace, both the front and back have a beautiful design feature that goes in
slightly at the waist! I usually go for a more fitted top so it’s nice to have
something different, the purposeful drape flares at the bottom with more lace!
I’m in such lace heaven! Such a light piece to wear which is perfect for this
summer, I remember having similar pieces in this type of lace material when I
was younger, so it’s a blast from my English summers in the country side!
I decided to style this piece* more casual (even though it would
have been fun to style with a shirt) so I went with my trusty high waist jeans
from Topshop, the fitted leg working perfect with the top so that you focus on
how the frills flare out! I have added my own belt accessory to really give the
piece some shape, but that’s my personal preference of wanting to create an
hour glass figure. It almost makes the whole look seem a little French!
Have you ever purchased anything from Dahlia or found an amazing piece by them in Topshop? Let me know in the comments!
Until next time guys,
